Chris Matthews Wants To See A Birth Certificate?

It is doubtful that anyone else on a major news program is more of a Democrat than Chris Matthews, and I know of no one leaning more to the left than Mother Jones reporter David Corn, followed closely by newspaper columnists Clarence Page. Well, all three of these media people are now wondering aloud, on the air, why President Obama does not release his real birth certificate.

Matthews said that 58% of Americans believe that Barack Obama was born here. Sure that is a majority, but I can never remember there being any question about any past President's place of birth.

Over 40% of Americans either believe Obama was not born here, and therefore ineligible to be President, or they just don't know.

Matthews went on to show what a real Hawaiian Birth Certificate looks like, and then what the Certificate of Live Birth that Obama has used as proof looks like. He then asked why the President just doesn't release his real birth certificate thereby clearing up this whole mess.

Both David Corn and Clarence Page said the same, however Page went on to say that even the real birth certificate would not convince some people.

For me, I guess after two years of questions about his place of birth, the President should clear things up if he can. The State of Hawaii claims they have his original birth certificate, but will not show it without Barack Obama's permission.

I think at the very least President Obama is being childish about not wanting to show proof of his place of birth, and at the most he is being dishonest, and neither one of these behaviors belongs in the Office of the President I agree with Chris Matthews when he said, "Why has the President himself not demanded that they put out the initial documents." Matthews' statement really makes me ask the same question. Why?
