I Vote We Fry The Guy

I wrote the following column about the war crimes I believe our country was and is committing in Iraq, Afghanistan, and who knows where else around the globe. People in George Bush's administration have admitted that we tortured people in our custody.

Now Barack Obama is going to try and tell the world that we are back on the straight and narrow, and that the United States once again believes in the rule of law. The world is going to look at us and say, "Prove it." Put George Bush up on charges as the admitted war criminal he is.

When you read this following column, think about what we should do to George Bush. Think really hard about that when you read the part about how our country executed Japanese soldiers after World War II for water-boarding our troops.

I believe George Bush should be tried ,and if found guilty, we should fry the guy in an electric chair. That would show the world that America takes the rule of law seriously. Anything less, and the United States will remain evil is the eyes of the world.

These last few years have been bad for America's reputation. First off, a bunch of highjackers took over four American airplanes on the same day and flew three of them into buildings. Not just any building, but the Pentagon, headquarters for the most powerful military the world has ever seen. On top of that, we were caught flat footed, we were totally surprised. Those highjackers didn't use guns, they used box cutters.

So, to prove to the world that we were still the most powerful country on the globe, President Bush decided to attack the most pitiful third world country on earth. That would be Afghanistan. Afghanistan had no army, no air force, and no navy. Afghanistan had almost nothing, but six plus years later we are still fighting there, and now we have called in NATO for help.

Next, George Bush decided to attack Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorist attack on America, and they were another pitiful third world country. Our war with Iraq has gone on longer than World War II, and still we are fighting there. Iraq had been under an arms embargo for the ten years before we attacked. They had no air force and no navy, and we found out that their army was pitiful. Still we fight the people of Iraq.

After we had been in Iraq for a while, photos of our prisons there were shown around the world. The world found out that America likes to torture people. We take families, and hold them in prison as hostages.

The world finds out that we kidnap people all over the globe, and send them to countries where torture is common, or we send them to one of our secret prisons that circle the globe. People the world over get to see how we treat prisoners at our military prison in Cuba, and then they wonder why we get to have a prison on Cuban soil.

And while all of this is going on, the world has to listen to George Bush tell them how they should run their countries. The world knows we have troops in well over a hundred countries, and they think George Bush is the greatest threat to peace.

George talks about peace and the Rule of Law like they mean something to him. He tells the world that Iran has no right to have atomic weapons, but the world already knows America is the only country to have used that weapon. Not once, but twice. George Bush tells the world that it is just fine that America has thousands and thousands of these weapons, but Iran can't have even one.

The world knows that the United States executed Japanese soldiers after WW II for water-boarding our troops, but now George Bush and our Justice Department can not decide if water-boarding is wrong or not. However we are willing to admit that we use water-boarding on prisoners.

Now the world gets to find out that America uses slave labor to harvest our crops. Here is a headline from the Independent/UK, 12/19/2007:

"Slave Labour That Shames America" "Migrant workers chained beaten and forced into debt, exposing the human cost of producing cheap food"

The story goes on with, "Their story of slavery and abuse in the fruit fields of sub-tropical Florida threatens to lift the lid on some appalling human rights abuses in America today.

From now on, any sordid story about America will get world-wide play on every news cast around the world.

George Bush has brought it on. George is the pot calling the kettle black, and the rest of the world loves to see America's faults, and we have a lot of them.

Like it or not, the rest of the world looks at us as the Empire, and any time they can put a stick in our eye they are going to do it. It is just a shame that our own President keeps passing out the sticks.
